Mode Conditioning Patch Cords
Mode Conditioning Patchcord is designed for use in Gigabit Ethernet 1000BASE-LX solution. This duplex patch cord consists of connectors on each end with a single-mode fibre offset to a multi-mode fibre connection in one of the two ends. It is compliant with the IEEE 802.3z application standard. This patch cord is necessary to allow -LX 1300 nm transceiver modules to be used for Gigabit Ethernet. A mode conditioning patch cord eliminates multiple signals by allowing the single-mode launch to be offset away from the centre of a multi-mode fibre.Key Features
