Switchair Active

In rack environments where the supply of cold air is difficult or inadequate, the Geist SwitchAirBox versions GSA2-002 or GSA2-004 with active fans can be used to efficiently cool network switches integrated into racks. Both versions support 1RU or 2RU network switches. They are installed using the SwitchAirBox's own metal chassis so that the backs of the switches face the front of the rack. Depending on the model, the cold air flowing into the front of the rack is either routed to the fans mounted on the side or to those positioned on the front of the switch and diverted. This ensures that the network switches are always efficiently cooled and prevents overheating and heat-related system malfunctions - even if the racks have front panels and supply of cold air at the front doesn't have enough power.
