Frequency Converters

ETL's range of Frequency Converter shelves are typically utilising leading edge Frequency Converter modules (such as Norsat or Swedish Microwave) in high density or redundant configurations.

In general these are Block Down Converters or Block Up Converters, and not frequency agile.

The Ku to L-band Block Down Converters and C to L-band Block Down Converters can be configured as 1:1 or n:1 redundant units with BDC current monitoring typically triggering a switch to a standby module.

The IF to L-band Block Up Converters are offered with 3 different LO's to provide 3 different L-band frequencies from either 70 or 140 MHz inputs.
