HARTING eCon Switches with PoE+ - Data und power perfectly combined

24-07-2014

Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a standard for the parallel transfer of power and data over twisted pair cable. HARTING Switches are leveraging the PoE+ standard to offer more power for possible end devices. Based on the available PoE+ standard (IEEE 802.3at), HARTING was able raise power to 34.2 W, thereby significantly increasing the variety of potential applications. Up to 4 Ethernet Switch ports can be simultaneously deployed for the supply of power with Ha-VIS eCon models. The portfolio includes Switches with a 54 V supply voltage and variants with integrated voltage converters. These allow the use of standard 24 V power supplies. Benefit from greater flexibility in the connection of end devices and the extension of your network by saving on additional components such as power supplies – in addition to time, money and space savings with the cabling. Developed and optimized for applications in rough industrial environments, the unmanaged Ha-VIS eCon Ethernet Switches enable the cost efficient extension of existing network infrastructures as well as the construction of new industrial networks. Thanks to their compact dimensions the Switches of the Ha-VIS eCon family fit in anywhere. You can select exactly the combination of power characteristics and port combinations that fits your application perfectly.
