Panel feed through housings – innovation going through walls

24-07-2014

The brand new Han® HPR panel feed through housings are the most efficient way of going through walls. They are “Pluggable. Tight. Safe.” They distinguish themselves cleverly from the non-pluggable cable entry systems. Presenting the new Han® HPR panel feed through housings HARTING is now extending the product portfolio of the Han® HPR housing range. The advantage: when installed, the Han® HPR panel feed through housings are sealed on both sides. This means that the requirements of IP 66 and IP 68 (IEC 60529) are fulfilled both from the cable side and from the device side. No condensation from the device side can reach the contacts and may cause corrosion or even a short circuit. In addition, Han® HPR panel feed through housings are ideally suited for fire protection applications in rail vehicles that demand reliable sealing against fire and smoke in both directions, as with fire barriers. Additional advantages arise in the handling, as the option of factory pre-assembly of the cable sets saves time and money. The Han® HPR panel feed through housings, manufactured in robust die-cast aluminum, meet the usual requirements of the Han® HPR housing range without compromise, for example against corrosion, shock and vibration, thereby ensuring the optimal protection of the contact area also under rough application conditions. A variant is available for inside and outside installation for each of the sizes 6B, 10B, 16B, 24B. Han® HPR panel feed through housings are equipped with the standard screw locking for the Han® HPR housing range.
