17-03-2015

LedNews.org recently reported that CREE has launched the latest LED bulb that comes with 3 way switchable power and brightness. This bulb can be switched to the equivalent brightness of a 30W, 60W or 100W incandescent bulb. At the same brightness, this LED bulb can save 90% energy over a traditional incandescent bulb. CREE says that traditional energy-saving lamps or incandescent bulbs are always disappointing, because they have no way to control basic brightness. In contrast, the CREE three-way LED bulb can be switched between 320 lumens, 820 lumens and 1620 lumens. It also comes with a significant energy saving effect, with the three lighting level power consumptions being 3W, 8W and 18W. This bulb life is expected to achieve a lifetime of 25,000 hours, with a color temperature of 2700K. CREE said 320 lumens is for ambient lighting, 820 lumens is good for reading, and the 1620 lumens is equivalent to ordinary light bulbs. This LED bulb retails at $ 24.97.
