CAM PCB Manufacture

The Front End department receives the customer's order from Sales.

The engineers will then perform a very detailed contract review of the customer's data, ensuring that the data can be manufactured within our plant and also that the designer has not made any errors.

The engineers use Gerbtool, which is a very comprehensive CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) package to manipulate the data onto one of our manufacturing panels for production. The data is stepped correctly, the drill and rout files are made, then the data is transferred to our own dark room for film processing.

We have our own Laser Photo-plotter, which exposes each layer of the circuits onto a piece of clear film. The film is then developed and is ready for use.

One Way can accept many different formats of data. Over 60% of the data received by this department is in Gerber format. Over 90% of data is received by email.
