Laser Evolved ElectroForming: Multilayer Structures

LEEF uses Laser Direct Imaging in order to expose the desired pattern onto the resist layer of the electroforming mandrel. The positional accuracy of the image which the laser creates is so repeatable that numerous layers of resist are able to be built up and exposed to form features, including posts and apertures, with aspect ratios in excess of 10 : 1... features which are near impossible to achieve with conventional photo-electroforming.
