Shear Beam Load Cells
Shear beams are an oblong shape element. The load cell is supported at one end (usually with two retaining bolts) and the force is applied at the opposite end.Between these two points a certain machining process is carried out and a shear stress is measured.
To be aware of:
If there is a possibility of the load cell being subjected to mis-aligned force to the left or right of the load cell, rotate is so that it occurs axially along the length of the beam.
