Wind Power Applications

Three speeds are to be monitored separately at a wind power plant: The speed of the slowly turning rotor (the rotor shaft). The speed of the generator (switching threshold 1) A further speed of the generator (switching threshold 2). As a result dangerous operating conditions are able to be detected reliably at the wind power plant. Solution: The ROTAS speed monitor has 2 separate relay outputs, which can be freely programmed for switching operations (direction, threshold, hysteresis, opening, closing). They allow flexible monitoring solutions to be configured for wind power plants.
