Samarium Cobalt Alloy Magnets

VAC produces Samarium-Cobalt-alloys under the name VACOMAX®.

They are suitable for applications also at high temperatures (depending on the grade up to approx. 350°C). Due to the high Curie-temperature of the alloys the decrease of the magnetic properties is small even with increasing temperatures.

Samarium-Cobalt-alloys possess an excellent corrosion stability against aggressive media. Therefore for most applications no coating of the magnets is necessary.
