The Smoothie will protect your mic, reduce wind-noise, and even act as a recognisable asset. Smoothie windshields are available in a wide range of sizes. The Smoothie is a slip-on 2-part foam cavity windshield that is tough enough to be able to withstand the rigours of modern day location recording, whilst still being practical to use. The Smoothie offer up to 22 dB of wind-noise reduction without any adverse effect on High-Frequency noise capture. The smoothie is constructed from a specially designed open-cell acoustic foam base and covered by a thin foam outer skin. In addition, the foam in the smoothie used is not susceptible to UV or moisture damage.
