Photon Counting Modules
Excelitas provides photon-counting modules based on both APDs and innovative Channel Photomultipliers (CPM). The new Gigahertz Photon Detection Module offers OEMs extremely low background noise, high gain and very high dynamic range (between 1 cps and 1 Gcps). Four operating modes allows flexibility for demanding luminescence, fluorescence, screening and analysis measurements, in a single module. The SPCM-AQ4C is a 4-channel single photon counting card capable of detecting single photons of light over the wavelength range from 400 nm to 1060 nm. Each channel is independent from the others. The array is silicon avalanche photodiode based. The SPCM-AQR series is a self-contained single photon counting module which detects single photons of light over the wavelength range from 400nm to 1060 nm... a range and sensitivity which often outperforms photomultiplier tubes.
