The Data Logger is able to identify the individual carrying out the test and in the event of a failure highlight whether it is the wrist strap or the left or right foot which has not passed the check.
All information captured by the Logger is sent to a database where a permanent record can be maintained for everyone entering the EPA. This data recording is excellent for monitoring who has entered and left the work area, making sure that all people comply with the ESD requirements and allowing accurate records to be maintained for auditing purposes.
Access to the EPA monitored by a Data Logger ideally needs to be controlled by some form of door, gate or turnstile which only opens once the person has passed the wrist strap and footwear checks.
In 2011 Static Safe Environments has teamed-up with Access Point Controls to distribute the APC PaddleGate. The PaddleGate can be linked directly to SSEs Personal Grounding Data Logger so that once an individual has passed the check the gate to the EPA opens.
There are many advantages of using the PaddleGate System to control access to EPAs:
High user throughput which helps to prevent queuing
Anti-tailgating design which eliminates two people going through at the same time
Compact footprint which allows it to be fitted in narrow entrances and corridors whilst still providing a wide aisle opening
Hard wearing construction in stainless steel with soft touch paddles
Available in a variety of configurations and styles
Designed to comply with BS 7036-1:1996 “Code of practice for safety at powered doors for pedestrian use.”
Static Safe Environments and PaddleGate, a powerful combination, designed to control access to your EPA and maintain your ESD integrity.
