Strainstall Middle East celebrates ten years of success

Today (7th March 2014) marks the ten year anniversary of the establishment of the Middle East branch of Strainstall. Based in Dubai and now with a second office in Qatar, Strainstall Middle East (SME) began with a short visit to Dubai in 2003 by the present General Manager, Mike Shaw. Headed to Jebel Ali for a jack-up leg load monitoring project, Mike noticed a further opportunity, and came back later that same year to establish the Middle East business. “It’s been a great privilege for me to have been part of the first decade of Strainstall Middle East’s existence, and it’s flown by!”, commented Mike Shaw. “I’m pleased to say we have built a significant profile of achievements on many of the region’s key construction projects.” Strainstall Middle East LLC was officially registered on March 7th, 2004 and within five years went from one man to 50 staff with a turnover of AED 30,000,000 in 2008. From a simple trading license, SME is now officially registered and acknowledged as a leading Testing Laboratory Company within the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Anil Cherian, Technical Manager at SME, added: “We are very proud of the growth we have achieved in the last ten years.
