The MikroE DAC Click Board? is an easy and compact accessory board featuring MCP4921, a 12-bit single-channel digital-to-analogue converter. Designed to ensure high accuracy and low noise performance, the MCP4921 module is a suitable choice for industrial applications where calibration or compensation of signals, such as temperature, pressure, and humidity. It operates an optional 2x buffered output. DAC Click Board? communicates with the target board microcontroller using the SPI interface. The board contains two analogue output screw terminals: Vout and GND. These data are converted to the appropriate voltage level in the range between GND and REFERENCE (VCC or 4.096V), which is proportional to the received 12-bit number. The board is designed to operate a 3.3V power supply by default. The user can solder the PWR SEL zero-ohm SMD jumper to the 5V position when using 5V systems.
