Airflow and static pressure performance is 30% more effective and at lower power consumption levels than competitive units, modular “deck” design adds redundancy value; manufactured in compliance with RoHS Pb-Free materials/processes
Sunon, Inc., has announced a new Power Motor Fan product group incorporating two patented designs to add dynamic performance and reliability for applications requiring higher airflow efficiency and static pressure capabilities in high temperature applications. Applications most in demand for this new level of cooling and thermal management ability include 1U, 2U, 3U, 5U and 5.5U Servers, power supplies, workstations, telecom equipment and other high-temperature operating systems.
The PMD Series includes models featuring Sunons highly acclaimed MagLev® technology which is credited for its superior performance features such as low noise, high temperature endurance and super long life. A key contributor to high-efficiency and high airflow is a smaller hub and larger impeller design, coupled with a unique motor structure and circuitry. The new Power Motor Series Fans also include models featuring Sunons patented Vapo bearing technology, resulting in longer service life and temperature operations up to 70ºC.
Available in 140 different configurations based on frame size, bearing choice and performance capacities from 38mm to 120mm square, in frame thickness from 20 to 38mm, units can be “ganged” for added airflow. These decks offer modular, low profile single, dual or triple in-line assemblies, each with its own impeller and independently motorized. This modular approach offers continuous cooling performance even if one deck were to fail, providing added redundancy.
The Power Motor Fans Series is rated for flow output ranging from 10.6 to 190cfm, operating voltages from 12, 24 and 48VDC, and static pressure ranges from 0.15 to 1.73 (inch-H2O). All models are manufactured in compliance with RoHS Pb-Free materials and processes to meet global expectations for environmental responsibility. MagLev models also feature all-plastic manufacture of major items for optimal insulation resistance and electrostatic discharge (ESD) performance.
Sunon marketing department commented “With such a combination of design and performance features, the Sunon Power Motor Fans are positioned to become the prominent resource for server cooling solutions, whether installed in open racks themselves or in the rack mounted components making up a server, telecommunication, or industrial control system.”
