RoHS
The RoHS is the Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment and was given the go ahead by an EU Directive in 2002 which banned the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, and many more than were agreed.
