Expansion Of AR Series Environmental Stress Chamber Lineup To Meet Rapid Temperature Change Needs for Automotive/Electronics Testing

07-01-2021

Espec, leading global manufacturer of environmental test chambers, has launched four new models of their AR Series Environmental Stress Chambers for Rapid-Rate Temperature Cycling. The world-renowned range of ESPEC environmental test chambers are distributed in the UK by Unitemp. Ron Brown, Chairman of Unitemp, stated “These new products bring the total number of AR Series models up to 32 (including standard type), allowing you to choose the size and performance best suited for your test applications.” The new AR Series Rapid-Rate Temperature Cycle Chambers provide the temperature cycling and humidity performance needed to validate quality and reliability for increasingly sophisticated automotive, electronics and other products. Since the first models launched in 2016, sales have grown steadily in Japan and Europe, mainly to automotive component manufacturers. Air temperature can be raised or lowered at a rate of 10°C per minute or 15°C per minute during testing between -40°C and +125°C. with or without humidity control. With support for both temperature and humidity cycle tests, all four new models comply with IEC international standards and German Automotive industry test standard LV 124. The chambers are also capable of precise control over a temperature range of -70°C to +180°C (with optional support for up to 200°C) and a humidity range of 10% to 98%RH. This means stable control is possible even for 95°C/98%RH and other high-temperature, high-humidity tests to meet the strict test requirements for high reliability electronic components. The chambers use low GWP (Global Warming Potential) refrigerants in line with Espec’s commitment to reducing environmental impact and creating green and sustainable products. Cable ports are included as standard on both sides of the chamber. An optional door notch port is also available to put cables through the door for easy access to specimen.
