TFT LCD Display – Enclosure Solutions How do you fit a 7” touch sensitive screen into a small enclosure? Based around our extensive range of standard product, Vero have solved the problems of mounting TFT Displays into plastic enclosures. The displays are flush mounted into the surface of the enclosure or a rebate machined to provide a rear mounted option, bezel mounted displays can also be accommodated. With such a wide range of enclosures and accessories, housing the rest of the circuitry and associated I/O connectors becomes simple. If required, Vero can provide a clear protective polycarbonate cover over the display and RF screening of the enclosure, and the cover, is available. Standard Product Before & After Custom Application Flush mounting provides an aesthetically pleasing, yet very functional method of mounting the display – with such a wide range of displays on the market, we are able to provide an enclosure tailored to your specific requirements. As well as looking good it is practical, removing areas that can harbour dirt or contamination whilst maintaining the enclosures sealing integrity. In addition we have addressed the need to provide the necessary power and communications using our integrated I/O panels – allowing all types of connectors to be mounted. Using our Datron CNC milling machine, an aperture is created through the enclosure wall, followed by the surface milling to provide a ‘land’ onto which the panel is bonded, using adhesive technology from 3M. This provides a permanent sealed bond. For rear mounted displays, the operation is performed from the reverse side. For applications using a polycarbonate window and for providing some apertures, an FB700 Series laser is used to cut the required profile. Internal features can also be provided for board mounting, battery holders and the like. The enclosures feature aluminium I/O panels that can be machined to provide interconnect to the unit. At the same time, Vero offer an engraving service and silk screen printing for annotation. For applications where electrical screening is required, Vero are able to treat the internals of the enclosure with various grades of conductive coatings.
