Solder fumes are one of a few big health concerns in the electronics industry. Exposure to soldering fumes in the electronic assembly processes are a known respiratory sensitiser, which is liable to cause occupational asthma, rhinitis and conjunctivitis if not addressed. Rosin (colophony) fume generated from the solder fluxes used in resin cored solders from hand soldering and the liquid fluxes used in dipping solder pots can cause runny eyes and nose and sore throats
