AD Aerospace sincerely and passionately believes that video systems can be used to improve the safety and security of aircraft and their passengers, and that AD Aerospace is the best in the world at delivering this technology.

AD Aerospace manufactures the FlightVu range of aerospace video products, including state-of-the-art video security and safety systems. In addition to general security applications such as threat detection, physical security and access control, these systems can be used for monitoring activity in the cockpit, passenger cabin, external control services and for cargo hold surveillance.

AD Aerospace is headquartered in Manchester, UK, with support offices in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Moscow, Rome, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Beijing, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, Delhi, Seattle, Miami, Bogota, Mexico City, San Salvador, Santiago, Chile and Sao Paulo, Brazil.AD Group, its parent company, traces its roots back to 1982 with the founding of the UK CCTV giant Dedicated Micros (DM) the world leader in multi channel digital video recorders (DVR) and inventor of the worlds first video multiplexer.

This technology has been further developed for the transport industry by AD Aerospace and AD Mobile, which deals with ground based vehicles. It is calculated that globally 7 million images a second are captured on DVRs from AD Group.

AD Aerospace is a highly innovative company, recognised as a finalist in the 2008 UK National Business Awards (Business Innovation section), and has supplied video equipment to, among many others Boeing, Emirates, British Airways, Qatar Airways, easyJet, bmi, TUI Group, Austrian Airlines, Swiss, Lufthansa, JetBlue Airways, Hainan Airlines, SAMA, Airtours International, and a number of VIP aircraft operators and military users. AD Aerospace was the first company in the world to offer a flight approved digital Video Server unit, that is an Ethernet accessible Digital Video Recorder, which was first fitted to a Boeing Business Jet through Lufthansa Technik in 1999.

Aside from the advantages of robust storage of data from multiple video streams and video analysis capabilities this technology enables simple integration with an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) as the preferred method of display. AD Aerospace has worked with many of the major EFB manufacturers like Astronautics, Teledyne/Spirent, CMC, ADR and others, and our servers are compatible with their equipment.AD Aerospace is a Boeing approved supplier and Key Vendor award winner on the Boeing 747-400LCF Dreamlifter, and approved for production fit for Flight Deck Entry Video Surveillance Systems on the Boeing production line on 737, 747, 767 and 777 aircraft. In addition, our Cargo Surveillance is also approved as a production fit option on the B777.

All AD Aerospace FlightVu video systems are designed and built using a modular, upgradeable approach, to develop as the future needs of the customer increase. AD Aerospace Ltd., is the parent company of Innovative Sensor Developments (ISD), designer of video system for Rugged and Mobile Military Applications.

ISDs products are specifically designed for the harsh environment of wheeled and tracked military vehicles and include situational awareness systems and the VAMP family of gun sight cameras for armoured vehicles and remote weapon stations.
