ANSMANN Industrial Solutions division configures, develops and produces customized battery packs and chargers in all chemistries. ANSMANN have a dedicated building at their head office site in Assamstadt, Germany for the production of Lithium based battery packs. The production line is also accredited with ISO 13485, enabling them to manufacture battery packs for the medical sector following strict quality control procedures. Complex customized battery packs with individual safety board and communication software are currently in production. Designed for a wide range of applications with a number of different cell chemistries, construction of the housing and mechanical elements of each pack is also included with each of these products. As well as bespoke designs, ANSMANN have a range of standard Li-Ion packs. These Li-Ion packs offer twelve different configurations, from single cell 2600mAh to 7S4P 25.9V at 10400mAh. Off-the-shelf Li-Ion battery packs reduce lead-times and save on design costs. However, with the 3D plotter technology the upfront costs usually associated with the design phase of Li-Ion projects are also significantly reduced. With ultrasonic welding technology and in-house 3D plotter/cutter, ANSMANN is able to fulfil special battery pack & charger requirements and to produce physical samples of battery pack housing without expensive tooling set-up charges. ANSMANN also use state-of-the-art equipment to provide certification & approval for every battery pack. ANSMANN has a dedicated laboratory for testing Lithium batteries in conformance with UN 38.3 transport regulations, now a legal requirement for the transportation of Lithium cells and batteries. The UN test procedures are specifically designed for Lithium type batteries. This means that the test can be carried out on batteries from any manufacturer. Indeed, other manufacturers request UN testing of their packs in the state-of-the-art facility at ANSMANN HQ. Once approved, the batteries can be safely transported by land, sea or air, following the relevant carriage regulations. The Lithium batteries are put through rigorous test procedures before being UN certified for safe transportation including; altitude simulation, thermal test, vibration test, shock test, external short circuit test, impact test, overcharge test and forced discharge test. – As part of the single point-of-call “turnkey” solution, ANSMANN also supply a range of battery chargers for different cell types. These high quality chargers have a universal wide range input (100-240VAC) with either fixed plugs or their “traveller” system of interchangeable input plugs. There are also chargers with EN60601, medical approval. ANSMANN offer consumable and industrial solutions in either standard or modified / bespoke types. See our catalogues for more information.
