Level Sensors
The ETS90SL is a microprocessor controlled single-axis sensor that includes control circuitry to drive a DC motor up to a maximum of 4A. The sensor detects the angle of tilt and provides a PWM output drive to a motor. The PWM ratio is proportional to the angle offset from a pre-set level. The further away the pre-set angle the more power is given to the motor drive. The default pre-set level is zero degrees but this angle is fully configurable by the customer to any between +/- 20 degrees.Once the angle has returned to the pre-set level then the drive to the motor is turned off. Safety features include a high power MOSFET output drive for controlling external equipment, such as a solenoid. Logic control inputs that can be used to immediately turn off the drive to the motor, i.e. limit and emergency stop switches. These inputs may either turn on or turn off the motor drive as configured by the customer using the RS232 interface. Applications include: automatic self levelling of medical and engineering equipment, closed loop control systems, enabling equipment to be maintained at a pre-set level and alarm control systems.Assemtech has full in-house facilities to produce cabling to customer specific requirements.Visit the Comus Europe Limited website for more information on Level Sensors
