About Us
D.E.B. Electronics was formed in 1962 by Eric Burbidge and two other partners. The company originally manufactured control systems and electronic test equipment, but later started producing conventional printed circuit boards for its own use and then increasingly for other manufacturers.
Originally, the company was based in a small unit on London Road in St. Albans, later moving to larger premises at New Barns Mill in the town. Following the substantial growth of the business and the introduction of plated through hole circuit board manufacture in 1980, these premises soon became unsuitable and in 1984, D.E.B. Electronics moved to its current 3,500 square feet factory in Redbourn.
By this time, Eric Burbidge was the only remaining partner of the original three and was joined by two of his sons John and Robert.
Sadly, Eric Burbidge passed away in April 1995 - but today the company continues as a totally family-owned concern and intends to remain this way, offering a personal, yet professional service to all of its customers.
