FURTHER EXPANSION PLANS COME TO FRUITION

D W Plastics’ new manufacturing unit is now fully operational. The two-storey building consists of manufacturing and storage space which has allowed the company to extend its plastic extrusion manufacturing capacity to cater for the growth in business. The unit is conveniently situated adjacent to the current factory which has enabled the streamlining of production and storage processes and provides essential additional manufacturing capacity. Four extruders are already operational and work is being carried out for the installation of another extrusion machine that was delivered in April. Since 2010 the company has enjoyed rapid expansion despite the difficult economic conditions. The opening of the new facility is an integral part of the company’s long-term expansion plans to ... incorporate our customers’ production demands and growth of new business. Global exports have increased dramatically and now represent a substantial portion of turnover. The company moved to the Chichester area thirty-three years ago and has evolved and diversified, manufacturing in the current premises since 1997. During this time D W Plastics has supported the local economy and provided employment in the Chichester and surrounding areas. The renewed, long-term commitment to the region will secure jobs, and with expansion plans continuing apace, will create more jobs locally in the near future.
