Press Release: Lansmont and Team Corporations Join Data Physics To Form Noise and Vibration Platform

Boston, MA — January 29, 2015 – Battery Ventures, a global investment firm, has reached an agreement to acquire a controlling stake in Lansmont Corporation and Team Corporation. Lansmont, based in Monterey, Calif., and Team—a subsidiary of Lansmont based in Burlington, Wash.–will join Data Physics as independent operating companies within Battery’s portfolio of test-and-measurement companies focusing on noise and vibration. Together, these companies create a leading and comprehensive platform of vibration-testing equipment with global reach. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. “This is great news for our customers and employees, as we now have a partner to pursue our vision of growth and extend our reach with an expanded, complete product set,” said Joe Driscoll, CEO of Lansmont and Team. Dave Huntley, president of Lansmont and Team added, “The investment by Battery represents the future in noise and vibration testing, and I look forward to helping take this dynamic group of companies to the next level.” Huntley will remain involved with the group.
