Rome Installations Prove HTS Is Up For Any Challenge

29-05-2014

Integrating modern display screens and a large screen projection into a historic world heritage building is a challenge, even harder when all the obvious flat wall areas are taken up by shelving units and fashion display cases. The brief stated ‘’you cannot touch the ceilings, floors, pillars or anything covered in marble.’’ That does not leave many options left but having conducted a detailed site survey we came up with a few ideas to create their vision. The client is a major global sportswear brand wanted to be able to display their logo and use the main chamber space to show various products featured online. They also wanted good sound coverage which was not affected by the acoustics of the chamber to create the ambiance required for their clients. This main sales ‘market place’ space had various domes with frescoed ceilings, marble columns supporting the arches and the floors were also polished marble. Shortly through the project, it was decided that the building would become the Italian head office so further meeting rooms, conference rooms and sales market places were required. Apart from another similar chamber, the remaining parts of the building had a combination of cellar domed ceilings, six metre high halls but were of a traditional finish which we could work with.
