About Us
Initially formed in 1981, Instruments & Gauges Electronics Limited (IGEL), in it's current form, was created in 1991 as an amalgamation of two companies.
Originally conceived to manufacture and supply the best in industrial instrumentation, IGEL soon outgrew it's original home and relocated to a custom built facility on the outskirts of Southport, Lancashire.
By the early 1990's the company had achieved it's goal of obtaining the coveted BS5750 approval and still maintains it's certification with the National Quality Assurance with the newer ISO9001 systems.
Although the company has never forgotten it's inception ethos of providing high quality process instrumentation products and services, IGEL has evolved to become a leading provider of cutting edge systems and procedures far exceeding the instrumentation field.
Indeed, our Product and Services portfolio now covers products ranging from the supply of engineering equipment through to the management of multi product procurement for the defense industries.
Our customer base, many have whom have traded with us since the 1980's, include high profile clients such as British Airways, Multi-part, Rolls Royce and Scottish Courage. However, IGEL has always maintained it's ability to be a local supplier to all of our clients within the UK, Isle of Man and Southern Ireland remit.
We guarantee that all of our clients, be it the local dairy or a multi million pound industry such as Airbus UK, have access to experienced personnel conversant with the technologies and systems provided by IGEL.
