LC4 Photovoltaic Connector for 1,500 Volts

With millions used around the world not only in the field, Lumberg’s LC4 photovoltaic connectors are now entering their next stage of development: the newly-named LC4-CP 30 connector and CP 31 chassis socket with a 1.500-ending are PV connectors laid out for 1,500 volts DC (IEC) or 1,000 volts DC (UL) and which, following extensive lab testing, have been submitted for approval. This makes the connector family which can be assembled in the field fit for future requirements. With IP68 protection class and UV- as well as ozone-resistance, the new halogen-free connectors are designed for temperatures ranging between -40°C and +90°C (UL). Rated currents of 20 A with cable cross section 2.5 mm2 (AWG 14) and 35 A with 4 respectively 6 mm2 (AWG 12/10) and considered cable diameters from 6 to 8.5 mm make the new versions a favorite for a broad range of applications. It goes without saying that the connectors are compatible with existing LC4 systems and lock with these in proven method. Also, commonly used accessories (manual crimp tool, unlocking tool and protective caps for LC4) can continue to be used.
