An increasing number of designers are now specifying OKW’s award-winning TOP-KNOBS for use in medical electronics.

These uniquely styled knobs are also ideally suited to applications in measurement and control, laboratory equipment, HVAC, communications and building management systems.

Each potentiometer knob features a main body with a clip-in marking element that conceals the lateral fixing screw and supports precise calibration. Five distinctive marking elements are available—Pin, Globe, Disk, Wing and Arrow—each offered in a choice of pastel colours: coral (pink), beach (yellow), lagoon (green), sky (blue) and mineral (grey). The main knob body comes in either volcano (grey) or nero (black) as standard.

TOP-KNOBS can be specified with a push-on fixing for flattened shaft ends or a lateral screw fixing to DIN 41591. Both fixing methods ensure there is no contact with live parts. Each knob has a recessed underside to accommodate potentiometer retaining nuts.

Manufactured from PA6, the tuning knobs are available in five diameters—ø16 mm, ø20 mm, ø24 mm, ø31 mm and ø40 mm—to suit bore sizes of 4 mm, 6 mm, 1/4", and 6/4.6 mm. Accessories include M7, M10 and 3/8"-32G round nuts for securing potentiometers to front panels.
