OKW’s innovative STAR-KNOBS for menu-driven electronics are now offered in both flush-fitting and surface-mount configurations.

These ergonomically designed collet knobs are compatible with rotary potentiometers or rotary pulse generators featuring round shaft ends (DIN 41591). They are ideal for applications in measurement and control systems, healthcare devices, HVAC, communications, building management and Smart Factory environments.

STAR-KNOBS feature a tactile click rotation along with a push-to-confirm ‘OK’ function, making them intuitive and comfortable to use. The surface-mount version is subtly tapered towards the centre for improved ergonomics. Both versions can be specified with or without knurled grips and/or a finger recess on the top for enhanced usability.

Optional LED illumination is available for both styles. On the flush-fitting version, a light ring appears between the recess and the knob cover. The surface-mount model sits on a 3 mm high illuminated ring, enhancing visibility and design appeal.

The knobs are available in two diameters: 33 mm and 41 mm. Each unit is supplied as a three-part set comprising an assembly kit, knob and cover. They are moulded from PA 6 and PC (UL 94 HB-rated). Standard colour options include volcano, nero, diamond, emerald and sapphire.

Energy-efficient 5V SMD LED illumination kits (available in white or RGB) are offered as accessories. Additional accessories include assembly supports, round nuts and a box spanner for easy installation.
