X Ray inspection systems

With an X-ray system you can reveal hidden structures in almost everything. In the electronics manufacturing industry, inspection systems using X-rays are particularly adept at examining hidden solder connections, tracks, wires and mis-registration in BGAs, PCBs and integrated circuits. In the aerospace industry, X-ray inspection is an everyday tool for NDT (non-destructive testing). CT, which enables reconstruction of internal volume spaces from X-ray pictures, is a new and important technique which extends X-ray capability to new applications, e.g. voids in plastic mouldings, determination of defect positions, etc.
