Meet TDK-Lambda’s next-generation power supplies at NEW 2012
20-05-2012
On show at the NEC, Birmingham for the first time is TDK-Lambda’s next generation of digitally controlled, AC-DC medical power supply. Meeting IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60601-1 Ed 2 & 3 safety approvals, the single output CFE400M is well-suited for many types of medical and dental equipment , as well as other high integrity applications including ATE, automation, broadcast, instrumentation, routers, servers and security networks.
For 65 watt medical applications, the TDK-Lambda MWS65 open-frame, AC-DC power supply complies with UL/EN60601-1 Ed 2 & 3 safety approvals. With an industry standard footprint of 2 x 4 inches and low 25.4 mm (1 inch) profile, this compact, convection cooled unit is also suitable for use in light industrial equipment, Point-of-Sale terminals and displays, Test & Measurement and Broadcast applications.
Rated at 500W, the TDK-Lambda GWS500 combines a 1U form factor with 105x218mm footprint and 90% typical efficiency to achieve a power density of 8.7W/in3. Well -suited to a broad range of industrial applications, including ATE, automation and instrumentation, all models in the GWS500 range operate from an 85-264Vac input with active power factor correction to ensure EN61000-3-2 compliance.
Designed to meet the demands of a wide variety of ATE and OEM applications, the TDK-Lambda Z+400 2U format benchtop and rack mounted programmable (laboratory) power supply provides 400W of output power. The unit is 33% smaller and 40% lighter in weight than the previous generation ZUP range and other similar mature products on the market and thus offers a 49% increase in power density.
Throughout the exhibition, experts from TDK-Lambda UK will be on hand to provide advice and guidance on selecting power supply solutions for your own specific applications, with the emphasis on combining efficiency with versatility and reliability.
