Technetix pays for a day at Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice

To mark the 22nd anniversary of its founding, Technetix paid to run all of the care services at Chestnut Tree House on Monday 26th March 2012. Chestnut Tree House is the only children's hospice in Sussex and cares for children and young adults from 0-19 years of age with progressive life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses. The organisation has been chosen as the Technetix charity for 2012 and will benefit from a number of fundraising events as the year progresses. Paul Broadhurst, CEO at Technetix said: “Chestnut Tree House is a cause very close to my heart. As a father to four children, I felt moved to help families who are faced with caring for a child with a life-limiting condition. If I found myself in their situation, as well as taking care of the practical day to day issues that illness brings, I would want to do everything in my power to provide my child with as much happiness and fulfilment as possible. That’s exactly what Chestnut Tree House offers, practical support and a chance to experience some of the good things in life.” The Pay for a Day scheme enables corporations or individuals to cover the entire running costs of the hospice service for 24 hours on the date of their choice.
