About Us
Founded in 1993, UPS Systems pioneered the concept of 'one-stop-shop' distribution for standby power products, creating a single source for UPS and Generators from all major suppliers. As an 'early adopter' of fuel cell technology for standby power applications, we are proud to have implemented the UK's first two integrated UPS / fuel cell systems which now protect the IT infrastructures of our own offices and those at Winton Capital Management in London.
Headquartered in Hungerford, Berkshire, UPS Systems provides total standby power solutions - products and services. We supply equipment in all sizes (plug-in, hardwired, single and three-phase) and to suit variable line voltages. Where mission-critical systems require 24/7 autonomy, we provide a complete package incorporating one or more generators for virtually unlimited runtime.
Total independence
Because were independent of any manufacturer, were not tied into any one product family, and can exploit the best products for any given requirement. We neither make nor 'own-brand' equipment but instead supply products from all major UPS and generator manufacturers. This independence allows us to offer the very best solution to a particular application, utilising our specialist knowledge and passing on the benefits of price savings to the customer.
UK's widest range of standby power systems
We keep a database of mainstream and specialist solutions, from all the major manufacturers. Maintaining this database involves considerable investment, with the need for constant update with details of every new product or upgrade, but we have found it to be a worthwhile exercise.
Consultative approach
Our industry specialism, independence and database systems combine to form a unique consultative approach towards satisfying our customers' requirements. Because we have no particular incentive to press for one solution compared to another, we can provide complete and impartial advice.
Our sales engineers incorporate these products along with any cabling, switchgear and circuit protection required and become responsible for the implementation, project schedule and commissioning of the project.
After-sales service
No UPS or generator can ever be completely 'fit-and-forget' - even modern sealed valve-regulated lead-acid batteries have a finite service life. So we offer a range of after-sales services including maintenance contracts, remote monitoring, battery replacement and repair.
