AudioCARD
AudioCARD is a compact low powered audio player build around the very popular VS10011 – MP3 audio codec from VLSI.AudioCARD starts playing audio content from its on board SD/MMC card as soon as power is applied to it and can run in stand alone mode or as a slave device to a host microcontroller.
AudioCARD Features
Decodes MPEG 1.0 & 2.0 audio layer III (CBR, VBR, ABR); layers I & II optional;
WAV (PCM + IMA ADPCM).
Upto 320 kbit/s MP3.
Streaming support for MP1/2/3 and WAV.
Bass and treble controls via microcontroller when attached.
Low-power operation.
High-quality stereo DAC with no phase error between channels.
Stereo earphone driver capable of driving a 30 ohm load.
Stereo output via 3.5mm Stereo jack socket.
On board 10-pin IDC header for connection to a microcontroller, when connected
in this way AudioCARD must be setup in slave mode using on-board jumper setting
and will play a bit stream form the host microcontroller making it the ideal solution
for adding audio to applications and systems.
Can work as a stand alone audio player booting from its on-board EEPROM,
in this mode you can you can control the unit via it user interface header.
User control interface via pin head
