Great Ormand Street Hospital Donation

28-02-2013

On behalf of CST, Ashley Sheppard, Group Commercial Director, donated £500 to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit [CICU] at the Great Ormond Street Hospital [GOSH]. The CICU provides critical care to children under 16 with conditions involving the heart, lungs or airways. The money was donated at the Whitbread Charity Gala dinner on 31st January which raised money for GOSH. The money Sheppard donated to the hospital will go towards a pain relief pump for the CICU. Providing medical care to children often requires specialist equipment designed to suit their needs. Paediatric pain relief pumps are vital pieces of equipment. Used extensively throughout the CICU, they provide a continuous flow of intravenous mediation during critical care.
