Passengers in distress reach for EAO’s new Emergency-call button Passengers in distress can now rely upon the new Series 57 'Emergency-call' pushbutton developed by EAO - the expert partner for Human Machine Interfaces. Series 57 - Emergency-call button With a large, illuminated red button featuring a tactile ‘Call for aid’ symbol, passengers will not fail to recognise this in an emergency situation. This innovative, reliable and intuitive product is suitable for on-board lavatories, platform SOS terminals, or any situation where people may need to call for assistance. The unique design features a user-friendly, Ø74mm operating surface that incorporates two independently-illuminated feedback rings and fully complies with EN 14752. A wide, raised aluminium bezel helps protects the button against accidental usage and vandalism. The raised ‘Call for aid’ symbol conforms to TSI PRM (Technical Specification for Interoperability for Passenger with Reduced Mobility) and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act – Accessibility Guidelines for Transportation Vehicles) and will never wear or fade. Offering outstanding durability, the Series 57 Emergency-call button is constructed using contemporary materials and will continue working through extreme temperatures from – 40º to +85ºC. The front is protected to IP69K against liquid and dirt ingress, and will resist chemical wash-downs often found within these application environments.
