NDE commitment to training results in NVQ Level 2 success

Following the first phase of NVQ training, nine members of staff were recently presented with their certificates for NVQ level 2 in Business Improvement Techniques. This was achieved over several months of training and guidance in conjunction with Petroc College in Barnstaple. Training included 5S, visual management, applying problem solving techniques, creating standard operating procedures and other areas of continuous improvement. We and our customers are already seeing the benefit from this investment in training. A number of staff have already commenced the next phase of NVQ training to achieve certificates in Team Leading, Performing Engineering Operations and Performing Manufacturing Operations. These qualifications should be completed during 2011 and will enable these team members to further contribute towards North Devon Electronics meeting the high expectations of our customers.
