Gas Flame Pyrotechnic Effects

Working closely with DHA's Adam Grater, we were responsible for the lighting installation on the 'Big Melt' show at former derelict steel mill in Rotherham, this was to be the venue for the North-East's new visitor education centre. Our professional team designed, manufactured & installed the special effects, which included four very large Gas Flame Effects that sent bursts of fire roaring 15 metres into the air. Furthermore we designed, manufactured & installed five Spark machines that project real molten mild steel at distances exceeding 20 Meters! We also conceived, designed and installed the Effects Control System and Safe Exclusion Zone System necessary to keep the show running safely on schedule every 30 minutes of every day!. Along with the show control & thunderous sound system supplied by Electrosonic, our lighting & special effects has enabled the 'Big Melt' to demonstrate the awesome volcanic power of the Electric Arc Furnace to be enjoyed by many thousands of visitors since May 2001.
