Growing demand for defence electronics has increased the requirement for ROLEC’s latest aluminium enclosures.

ROLEC’s IP-rated diecast enclosures are suitable for electronics in tracked and wheeled vehicles, warships and fleet auxiliaries, training/simulation technology, military cranes, and railways used for troop transport, logistics and supply.

Premium hinged-lid aluDOOR (IP 66, IP 67, IP 68, IP 69K) has a recessed (or smooth) top section for fitting hi-tech controls and display systems. Features include ‘lid closed’ installation to protect the seal and electronics.

Versatile aluKOM (IP 66) is a wide range of terminal enclosures compatible with standard sizes, making them easy to exchange with existing units. 

Multivariable aluNORM (IP 66, IP 67) is available in four variants based on different combinations of flat and raised covers and base sections.

Advanced conFORM (IP 66, IP 67) features built-in EMC shielding thanks for a patented tooth and rail system that is pre-cast into the lid and base. No EMC gasket is needed.

Ergonomic handCASE (IP 66, IP 67) handheld enclosures can be specified in two versions: S with a bevelled lid and R with a narrow-edged lid.

All the enclosures have highly weather-resistant powder coatings (F9) with WIWeB approvals and camouflage colours for military applications. Premium polyester powder 5936 is available in standard colours RAL 6031-F9 bronze green, RAL 1039-F9 sand beige, RAL 8027-F9 leather brown and RAL 9021-F9 tar black. This offers excellent camouflage in the visible and near-infrared spectral range.

These coatings are also available in a wet painted finish. They meet all military requirements, including the defence equipment standard VG 95211.

Accessories include cable glands, pressure compensation elements, terminal blocks, mounting plates, rails, hinges, brackets and lid supports.

ROLEC’s customising services include CNC machining, engraving, EMC shielding, bonding of display discs, screen and digital printing, tin and electroless nickel plating, SurTec 650 protection, assembly of cable glands and mounting of terminals.
